oh HELL yes
What fresh hell is this?! And fresh it is, mateys. Landed at home a few hours ago, drinking up the overcast, melting scenery of a seasonal cocktease on Flathead Lake. It is a beautiful thing. I suspect that having brought to mates home, we shall be obsessively pool-playing, pot-smoking and port-guzzling all weekend. Okay, not port, but my obsessive relationship with journalism stops me from passing on possible aliteration.
The next two days are going to be unreal. Last night, however, may have been a little too real. I just sort of floated away from too much wine, too much pot. I have been medicating the hell out of myself for the last week, just to get some sense of escape, if only from myself. Right now, I feel profoundly relaxed, but the last week and a half was a different story.
Anyway, last night was my friend Sara's birthday, which meant saying lots of 'Oh HELL no's, swilling wine and hanging out with dancers, inevitably running into the dance dude I was briefly and questionably hot for. From a purely below-the-neck physical perspective, he is stunning. He has a bit of an odd face and seems to be relatively empty in the head (OBVIOUSLY, since he did not make a b-line for my crotch) and so, that ends that. I think he knew I was into him and was being weirdly standoffish/come-hitherish.
Oh well. It was a great night anyway, and I got to run into lil bro later that evening, which is always nice, even though we will be spending a good deal of time together.
Tomorrow will surely start with an early day of sledding, followed by utter gorgery. Friday, I think a trip to Whitefish may be in order. I was telling the lads we should pretend to be sons of Fortune 500 real estate barons.
"Except we won't buy them drinks or wear very nice clothing," I said firmly.
