a less wasted weekend
Dreamy sigh...what a transcendent weekend. I am only just beginning to learn that I can spend my weekend in drunken delirium and still accomplish all that I wish to.

Example: Friday found me rolling out of bed after two and a half hours of sleep and rolling toward Helena, our lovely state capital. My charming friend Erin requested my company for the drive and while she take an Associated Press test thing-y doo. And who I am to refuse?

So, I spent a lot of my half-conscious time in Helena catching up on my reading, and then she and I went to have lunch at a pub that used to be a historic bordello. Wheee! Pictures to come, my friends.

That night, I went to my brother's house with a few newspaper chums in tow, to drink the night away, commemorating the month-long binge that is Scotchtoberfest. I can hardly wait til Scotchoween! My brother is rapidly becoming one of my new favorite people, as evidenced by his presence at hangover brunch the next day (where we saw Lesbian Dreamgirl) and the Rocky Horror midnite show on Saturday night, which was like going to a rock n'roll musical Superbowl. SO. FUCKING. COOL.

I even managed to catch a show at the Ritz, where I chitchatted with Dressy Bessy's Swinging London lead singer and got to see the always superb Oblio Joes (local band you are seriously about to hear about).

I woke up just in time for a Kill Bill matinee with my lads...verdict pending on this one. The movie was inarguably badass, but Quentin is perhaps a bit prone to being wildly carried away by his own madness. We had Chinese, watched another movie, group-read entertainment mags and chummed about for another few hours.

All right, that satisfies my base, diaristic self-indulgence for the day. I am already looking forward to this weekend. Perhaps the partyboy days are not yet ended.
