pointless update
It's been a rather unusual couple of days.
I would like to take this oppurtunity to give props to myself for standing up to the man. Alberta Premier Ralph Klein was giving a lecture about going from journalism to politics...it was a big yawn. But as he is one of the leading members of the anti-gay marriage movement in Canada, I decided that making him sweat for referring to the contraversy surrounding the marriage issue as a "soft issue." There was a lot of "I'm sorry, you haven't really answered my question..." type stuff going on. For a designer, I am showing a rather surprising amount of hard-nosed journalistic behavior.
And on the note of being a designer...shiiiiit. Getting out of the office at 2 a.m. is great but it is so unfortunate that so many people love to be asleep by this hour. I drove past people's houses, hoping to catch someone still conscious, but alas, it was not the case. SO I went home and ran around for two hours, then managed to catch some quality sleep...finally.
This weekend, I'm going to be doing research for my column. Most notably will be going to the Testicle Festival. Yes, it's time I went. Fried cow testicles, rock n'roll AND official sponsorship from PBR? How could it go wrong?
On that note, I am weekend bound.
